I wonder if my shoes were full of mud just for this one photo. YES! Wet socks included, but, what the heck, it was definitely worth it. The view from the path was beautiful, but something was missing. The swampy area was not the ideal treading environment, but the improved angle, and the view of the mountains behind speaks volumes.
